About Me
Ben is the Legal Team Lead at ABB LEGAL, a firm of Attorneys, solicitors and Notaries Public. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1993/94. He was called to the Nigerian Bar and admitted to practice law as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1995.
In 1997, Ben received his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He has presently applied to pursue a Ph.D degree in Law at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in Anambra State.
Ben has been in active legal practice since 1995 and has acquired invaluable experience in the vast area of corporate and commercial law and litigation. At ABB LEGAL he has the primary responsibility for the firm’s work in the area of Banking and Finance, Commercial Property, Corporate project finance, commercial Arbitration consultancy. He also handles the firm’s key day to day structured corporate client management and acts as team lead on many multi-sectoral project planning and execution. Among ABB LEGAL’s clientele are Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Fidelity Bank, etc.
Ben is also the Founder of ZAREPHATH AID a correction-focused Non-Government Organization that spearheads reforms in Correctional centres through a multi-pronged approach including the provision of free legal services through which over a thousand indigent inmates of correctional centres have been released. www.zarephathaid.org.
He chairs the Board of Preservation Resources International Limited – an investment and financial advisory services company. Ben is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
Ben is also a coach, mentor, seminar and training speaker, and consultant. He heads LAWLEAD CONSULTING, a registered law training hub with a vision ‘to lead through the knowledge of the law’ He has handled trainings for several groups and Organizations on topics ranging from International Financing, Tax, Intellectual Property and Human Rights. He is married with children.
